The 2017 NAFC Charitable Health Care Symposium will be held on October 1-3 in beautiful Denver (Broomfield), Colorado at the Omni Interlocken Hotel. This symposium is the only national meeting that is specifically designed to address the issues and topics that safety net clinics, organizations, staff, and volunteers face on a daily basis.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

This pre-conference training is presented by Americares and will be taught by Americares MHFA instructors Lindsay O'Brien and Christina Newport.
